Global Issues That We Saw In Mexico

#1 No Poverty: Poverty is a big problem today, big enough to be number one on the UN’s Global Goals. At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day. More than 80 percent of the world's population lives in countries where income differentials are widening. The poorest 40 percent of the world's population accounts for 5 percent of global income. Poverty is affecting Tlaquepaque and most of Mexico because of low government funding and poor infrastructure, education, labor market efficiency, and innovation.

#6 Clean Water and Sanitation: Clean water and sanitation is a huge part of poverty in almost all of mexico. Mainly in Tlaquepaque there is less clean water and when we visited there we couldn’t drink the tap water or we would get sick. And without clean water it is hard to have good sanitation.

#11 Sustainable Cities and Communities: The houses and homes that we saw in mexico are not the same as we see here. The houses are right next to each other and usually made of concrete and have no back or front yards because theyre right on the streets. This is an important global goal because it has a lot to poverty because it is not a sustainable home to live in.

#13 Climate Change: In Tlaquepaque there was only a certain distance you could see on the horizon because of smog and pollution. Mexico is a really polluted country with the big factories and plants such as Coca-Cola. Climate Change is also affecting almost the whole world, with all of our cars and airplanes creating greenhouse gases that are causeing the smoke and polluton to stay trappen inside of the atmosphere and this is what is causes the ozone to be destroyed.

#6 Clean water is a very big problem and I didn’t notice how bad it really was when we were in mexico I saw that they had very dirty and that was not in the condition to drink so everyone had to buy water from the store and some people didn’t have the money so they would drink water from anywhere. The animals would drink the water from anywhere and lots of animals looked really sick. Water is becoming a really big problem like california is having that really bad drought and people have to limit their water because they don’t have much left. If we solve this problem them lots of people would be healthier with the clean water they would be drinking and even though it costs a lot it would really be worth it.
